Join us as we welcome National ABWA Secretary/Treasurer Genice Hall-Fowler for our March Lunch & Learn! Genice will be celebrating with us National Women’s History Month, and speaking into the past and future of ABWA.

Genice embraces life from a positive perspective. She is appreciative that God placed in her life a loving husband, Nelson, and two beautiful and divinely created daughters, Robyn and Regan. Mrs. Hall is a South Carolina native, graduating from Limestone College with a Bachelor’s degree in business management and Master of Social Work from University of South Carolina, along with PhD
coursework in Organizational Leadership from Capella University. She is a licensed independent social worker and clinical supervisor in South Carolina and North Carolina, Certified Behavioral Health Coach, Notary Public of South Carolina, business owner and published author.

Genice is the owner of Grateful Guidance Life Counseling, LLC where she specializes in contractual group facilitation, public speaking, and helping others discover their “happy.” She is respected as an expert in her field at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina’s and is featured in “Ask a Therapist” online series.
Other career highlights include professor at the University of South Carolina- College of Social Work and Piedmont Technical College in Newberry SC; as well as service in foster care, addictions, and counseling with a focus on trauma informed care and healing.
Her published works include co-author of “If She Can” and author of “Happiness Diary-Discovering Your Happy” as well as “Grandma B- Biggest Cheerleader for Me” a tribute to her mother. Genice is a 2020 Top Ten Business Woman of ABWA and 2009 Woman of the Year for the Columbia Triad Chapter where she has been a member since 2007. She served as the 2017-2019 Chapter President and currently serving as a Chapter Advisor. In November 2019, with the blessings and support of Columbia Triad Chapter, Genice met at a local restaurant in her hometown of Newberry, South
Carolina with five formation team members. On November 7, 2020, Women Connecting Women Chapter chartered with over sixty members. Genice chose to charter in her hometown of Newberry in memory of her mother, Bernice Hall and was intentional in celebrating the chartering on her mother’s birthday. Women Connecting Women Chapter honored Bernice Hall as posthumous charter member. Genice served as Chapter President of Women Connecting Women Chapter from 2020-2022, earning the prestigious award of Best Practices in League Management. Mrs. Hall is active in her community and has served with various volunteer initiatives and Boards inclusive of United Way of the Midlands, Carson Hills Homeowners Association, Chapin/Little Mountain Community Center, Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth, and Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund trustee. Genice is a recipient of the HUB Community Service award, Business Associate of the Year award, and has earned recognition as Who’s Who in business women. Genice is a proud Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
